resort course, Santee Cooper Country Club.
The weather was hot, the ball was flying and the battle in just about
each flight were riveting.
The Champ Flight saw a bunched-up leaderboard all day as
just about everyone in the flight was either in 1st or 2ndthrough out the day. Marty Bunch took

victory over Eric Hayes and Mike Cobb, with Eric taking home second place money
by virtue of a scorecard play.
The A flight had another incredible back nine story. Sean Kenneck fired a front nine 34 for the
early lead. Nick Callahan and Dan Wanner
were hot on his heels and neither one slowed up on the back while Sean ran into
a few bogies that derailed him to third place.
The round of the Day wan Dan Wanner’s even par 72 with a back nine score
of 33. He needed ever bit of that as
Nick Callahan fired a back nine of 34 to finish one shot back with a very nice
round of 73.
The B flight was a battle for first and then a separate battle
for third! The top of the leaderboard
had Bo Gordon and Larry Penfield battling all day, Larry had jumped out to the
early lead with a smooth even par round of 36 on the front for the early lead,
however, Bo Gordon was never to far behind.
Bo one upped Larry on the back by firing a one-under 35 on the back to
finish with a very impressive round of 77 to take home the trophy. Larry settled for second place two shots
behind Bo with a very nice round of 77.

card rounds of 81 to finish in a 3-way tie for third with Tim winning the
scorecard playoff by virtue of the last six holes.
The C flight took the battle to the next level as Travis
Carlisle and Cleve Johnson both posted rounds of 87 to finish tied for first. The sudden
death playoff lasted just one hole with Travis bring home the victory. Sam Marano finished two shots back of the
playoff but one shot ahead of Austim Mims and Bill McCall for third place.
The D flight was about the only flight that wasn’t the
battle all day as Dale Cofield played one of his best rounds on tour yet and
posted a very nice round of 85 for a four shot victory over Bobby Mims.
