The Charleston Golfweek Amateur tour took to Mt Pleasant to play Dunes West golf course.  Although the weather gave us a little delay it did not interfere with the scoring as the tour guys are heating up along with the summer weather. 

The Champ flight saw Jeff Emory continue his winning ways as he posted a 2 shot victory over Jason Ray, 77 to 79. 

The A flight lit up the course as Duan Bausman and Patrick Gamblin both fired rounds of 72.  Unfortunately Patrick had to leave before the playoff and Duane secured his second victory of the year!  Coming in third was Richard Gilbert who fired a 73 as well! 

The B flight saw Al Dozier show that the B flight guys can light it up as well.  Al blitzed the course for a 74 which has earned him a promotion to the A flight, nice shooting Al! Coming in second was the red hot Jason Dores who posted another fine round of 77 and Joe Turner was one shot back with a 78. 

The C flight saw potential newcomer Chris Gamblin show he enjoys tournament golf by posting an 83 for a 3 shot victory over new tour player Ricky Winter. 

The D flight saw Aaron Chase cruise to his first victory by bettering the field by 7 shots! 

Way to go guys, our next event is the Summer regional at Barefoot Resort in Myrtle Beach.  This is a two day event with over a 140 players signed up. There is also an optional skins game on Friday.  The next local event will be two weeks after the regional, Jul 12 at Patriots Pt.
