The Charleston Tour ventured up to Santee to tackle Lake Marion golf course that was in great shape. With all the rain we have experienced, it definitely showed if you missed a green or fairway!
The Champ Flight had three take the test and it was quite a battle as Billy Hill edged Dan Wanner by a single shot, 76 to 77. This was some fine golf considering the conditions.
The A flight saw Tony Capehart round back into form with a very solid 79 that included three birdies. Jace Gause and Mark Ducker tied for second with 81's and Jace prevailed in a score card playoff.
The B flight was won by Denny Miller who posted a two shot victory over James Ravenel, 86 to 88. These two have been battling for the B flight lead, and it will come down to the last major of the year at Berkeley Country Club.
The C flight was won by Lee Sanders who prevailed in a playoff over Erik Eadie. Both golfers fired rounds of 84.
The D flight saw Steve Hartoin post a very nice 93 to take top honors.
It was a great event and we wind up the year with our last major at Berkeley Country Club.
