The Charleston Golfweek Tour took their talents out to the Isle of Palms on the 15th of Feb. After another bout with the winter storms during the week we had hoped for the best. The temperature and Sun showed up and brought their mean friend, WIND with them. The entire day was played in a constant 20mph wind with gusts reaching 40 mph!
The Championship Flight saw a real dogfight playing from the tips. Jeff Emory posted one of the best 83's of his life to take first place honors by a shot over last week's winner, Jason Ray.
The A flight saw Chayce Bibbee ignore the wind by firing a 78 in a round that included three birdies! Hot on his heals was Biff Huff who carded a very steady 80 to take second while Mark Ducker finished in third with an 82.
The B flight saw Kevin Goddard record his first victory of the young season by posting a very smooth 80 while also draining three birdies! Coming in second was Jack Sudol from the Myrtle Beach tour. Sure made that drive back up 17 a little nicer. Coming in third was Joe Turner who also had three birdies. Joe and Mason Talley tied for third but Joe took it with a score card playoff.
The C flight saw Jody Fabian's nephew enjoy his round by firing a 92 for a one shot victory over Jason Courtney.
The D flight saw hot hitting John Wilson continue his current hot streak by claiming another victory with a 3 shot victory over Cowboy.
Our next event is a combo event with the Hilton Head Tour at The Links of Stono Ferry. We expect a sell out for this event so sign up early!!
