Mark Ducker- Championship Flight Winner
The Charleston Division of THE EGolf AMATEUR TOUR held an event on Saturday, April 26 at Shadowmoss Plantation in Charleston, SC just off I-526. Shadowmoss is a very popular golf destination for the residents of Charleston, SC. The course layout is both challenging and playable for golfers of various skill levels. The greens are still a little bumpy as they heal from the winter, but aggressive putters will do well. The course staff as always did a great job hosting our tournament and is looking forward to our return next year. The weather was perfect for the event and some rain came just as the last group got off the 18th hole. The tournament played in 4 ½ hours and the players had a great time.
Mark Ducker of Hilton Head, SC finished first in Champ Flight with a nice 78 and just ahead of the father and son pair of Mike and Matt Metz from Summerville, SC. Mike had a nice 80 followed by his son Matt with an 81.
“A†Flight winner, Jimmy Turner of Chesnee, SC shot a nice round of 79, and then waited out the field for the win. Tom Cheves from Lexington, SC took second place with an 85, just ahead of Steve Walters of North Charleston, SC who finished at 87.

“C†Flight winner, Michael Craig from Johns Island, SC got to the course about 10 minutes before his tee time and had to go off without hitting any range balls, but it did not seem to bother him as he took 1st place with a nice 82. Jason Brisini from Mt Pleasant, SC finished second with an 87 just in front of 3rd place Hal Wynne from Charleston, SC.
Michael Miller of Summerville, SC took the “D†Flight win with a score of 90. A favorite on the tour “Cowboy†from Moncks Corner, SC finished a close 2nd with a nice 93. Tommy Bryant of Mt. Pleasant, SC was third with a 95.
